Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 1, 2026
Practice Nest helps people rehearse speech, dialogue, presentations, and classroom assignments. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Practice Nest, we may collect or store:
- Account details such as your name, email address, profile photo, sign-in provider, and basic profile settings.
- Practice content such as scripts, speakers, practice progress, reports, notes, and settings you choose in the app.
- Classroom content such as class membership, class codes, assignments, due dates, submissions, grades, and teacher feedback.
- Audio or recording-related data when you record, submit, or use speech practice features.
- Device and browser information needed to keep the site working, remember settings, protect the app, and debug issues.
- Optional AI settings or API keys that you choose to enter. User-provided AI keys are intended to stay in your browser unless a feature clearly needs to send a request to the selected provider.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide sign-in, save your work, run practice and presentation sessions, support classroom features, show progress, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
Services We Use
Practice Nest uses Firebase for authentication and app data, Cloudflare Pages for hosting, and Google sign-in when you choose to continue with Google. If you enable optional AI features, content may be sent to the AI provider you select so that the feature can work.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. In classroom features, teachers and students may see the information needed for that classroom, such as assignments, submissions, feedback, and grades. We may also share information with service providers only as needed to operate the app, comply with law, or protect users and the service.
Student and School Use
If Practice Nest is used for school, students should use it with permission from a parent, guardian, teacher, or school when required. Teachers and schools are responsible for making sure their classroom use follows their own rules and legal requirements.
Your Choices
You can update account settings in the app, sign out, or request deletion of your account and app data. You can also avoid optional AI features or remove any AI provider keys stored in your browser.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards such as authentication, database rules, and secure hosting settings. No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, so users should keep account credentials private and avoid uploading sensitive information that is not needed for practice.
Changes
We may update this policy as Practice Nest changes. If the changes are important, we will make reasonable efforts to make them clear in the app or on this page.
